Non-Chipped Car Keys

Non-Chipped Car Keys.

Are you sure your key does not have a chip in the head? Well as mentioned if the car is made BEFORE (rule of thumb) 1995, than you may be right. Most people think there car key is not chipped, but most are. People think this because the keys don't look any different, and the chips do not need batteries, (they get there power from the radio waves in the ignition produce). So you want to be here if you are restoring an old car, or your car is 20 years old or more, OR you want a key for the doors and boot or to release the ignition (towing). A non-chipped key will NOT start a car with a immobiliser in it (but it will turn the lock).
